Autumn For The Elephants is a project born from the union between Photography, Fashion and Animal Welfare, its mission is to raise awareness to the humanity about what is happening with the animals that inhabit our planet and the best way to get attention was to do it through fashion.
Climate change, invasion of their ecosystem, deforestation and poaching are the main causes of bringing one of the most emblematic species of our era on the brink of extinction, "The Elephants". The idea came by my inordinate love for the wildlife and the only way for a new fashion photographer like me to help was to embark myself with my friends on this photographic adventure.
Of course the best choice for me in this project was my “broncolor Move 1200 L Battery Power Pack with MobiLED Flash Head” and one “broncolor Softbox 60 x 60 cm (23.6 x 23.6”)”.
This unit is everything, you want it for any location. It is flexible and the quality of the build is over the top. It allows you to set up very fast in any condition and for me this option was very important specially in this project because we were working with animals and the time we had with them was very short. The modeling light option is amazing cause it let me know how the photo will look and for me was very important to get all the textures from the skin of the elephants and the clothes in a very sharp way.
I hope you enjoy these pictures I have made as a tribute to one of the greatest photographers of all times, my hero "Richard Avedon". You can get and Give Back for this cause by acquiring one of these pieces in www.thesefinewalls.com, part of the earnings will go to The International Elephant Conservation (www.elephantconservation.org).
